Preparing for the show involved a lot of prayer and fasting for Nkululeko, who asked for guidance so that he would not be deceived when choosing his partner.
"I prepared myself through constant prayer and fasting to not be misled by anything I encountered in the experiment."
He shares the same sentiments as his wife, who said she prepared herself to be prepared for the unknown.
"I mentally prepared myself to get married to a stranger by simply being open to the unknown, that is all you can do, there is no manual to this experiment," she said.
The star also spoke on the highs and the lows of being on the show, stating that the laughs he shared with Makoto were his favourite.
"There have been so many highs. The happy moments I shared with my wife were my favourite."
With highs come lows, and for Nkululeko, the lows were watching Makoto embarrass herself.
"Watching my wife embarrass herself, thinking she’s belittling me, but truly ruining her own image. It breaks me to see her destroy herself like this."
