MacG and Phori have finally addressed a long-standing awkward moment between them, sitting down on Podcast and Chill to hash out what actually happened the day MacG told Phori to "eat a d*ck" on air.

The conversation took place in the Podcast and Chill studio, decorated with South African flags, comic-style graphics, and branded "Chillers Punch" signage against a yellow curtain backdrop. The tone was casual and confessional, with both men laughing through what turned out to be a surprisingly straightforward explanation.

What MacG actually meant

MacG kicked off the moment by asking Phori directly whether there was anything he had said on the show that Phori wanted to address. Phori did not hesitate, immediately bringing up the infamous "eat a d*ck" comment. MacG confirmed it without flinching and then gave the full backstory for the first time publicly.

According to MacG, he was preparing to release his first piano project at the time and was working with Cesar Alakad. Alakad reportedly warned him that Phori might take issue with the release because MacG had not sought his blessing before going ahead with it. MacG's response, both in that moment and later on the show, was defiance. He said:

"So I came on the show. I'm like, 'No, man, I don't need permission. I'm a grown-up man.'"

He admitted that Alakad should not have said what he said, calling it the honest truth, before acknowledging that the "eat a d*ck" line was essentially podcast flavouring. MacG added:

"You've got to add some spice because we're podcasting."

Phori's reaction in the studio

Phori listened to the explanation and seemed genuinely amused, asking what the remark had even meant at the time. The exchange had the energy of two people clearing up something that had been sitting in the background for a while, with neither man appearing to hold a grudge.
