Social media influencer Dominic Amandah Zaca has broken her silence after being exposed for orchestrating the leak of her own relationship story to a blogger. In a lengthy Facebook post shared on her page, she confirmed the leak but pushed back hard against the version of events that had taken hold online.

Zaca said she approached blogger Jasmine with her story after discovering that a separate blogger was preparing to publish a damaging and distorted account. Feeling backed into a corner, she chose to hand the story to someone she considered a close friend, believing that route would be both safer and more truthful.

Why Zaca said she leaked the story

According to Zaca, the relationship she was discussing had taken a serious toll on her. She claimed her ex-partner was using her money to financially support another woman, among other issues she described as emerging from that relationship. She also revealed she had been blackmailed over the information and refused to pay to keep it quiet.

"I was already being blackmailed and pressured over this information. I was not prepared to pay another blogger to remain silent about my own story.”

She added that Jasmine had previously confided personal details in her, none of which she ever weaponised or leaked. In hindsight, she admitted the friendship may not have been as mutual as she had believed.

Zaca firmly denied one specific allegation that had been circulating, describing claims that she had "rented out a boy" as completely false, defamatory, and rooted in harmful stereotypes.
