Popular philanthropist BI Phakathi, who always has generosity on his mind, blessed a man with an unknown disability with a R4 000 wheelchair. He also gave the man's caregivers an extra couple of thousand towards nappies needed.

On 28 July, 2025, the man of mystery, who referred to himself as Dumisani when one of the caregivers asked who he was, uploaded a clip on his TikTok account showing that he bought the wheelchair from Dis-Chem. He then made his way to a home to drop off the donated gift.

Before placing the non-verbal man in his new wheelchair, the caregiver informed BI Phakathi:

"The one he is using now was borrowed from a kind sister."

The woman also received R2 000 in cash for the nappies she mentioned needing.

BI Phakathi warms people's hearts

A few local members of the online community gathered in the comment section to applaud the faceless philanthropist’s good deed, while others took the opportunity to ask for assistance.

Filled with gratitude, @amapiano_is_lifee shared under the post:

"Lots of love for you, Mr Phakathi. You are an angel on earth from God. I wish to meet you one day just to shake your hand. You're amazing."

@ayandakingsulandaba1 said to the helpful man:

"I wish your pockets never run dry. God bless you more and more, bhuti."

@kuhlemalla added in the post's comment section:
