A video filmed from inside a moving vehicle on a rural South African highway has set social media alight after it appeared to show a traffic officer assaulting a driver. Facebook user Karabo Skara Mokone posted the footage on 21 August 2026, and it quickly spread across the platform.

The clip, captured from a dashcam or passenger-seat perspective, shows a long line of stopped vehicles along a highway flanked by farmland. On the road's shoulder, a group of uniformed personnel can be seen gathered around what appears to be a confrontation, with the mood in the video tense and unsettling.
