A chilling video filmed from inside a block of flats has left South Africans shaken after it captured a live cash-in-transit heist playing out in broad daylight. TikTok user @1eli661 posted the footage on 12 August 2026, showing a 4x4 bakkie in hot pursuit of an armoured cash truck. Two armed individuals at the back of the vehicle fired repeatedly at the moving truck as the chase continued through the streets below.

The cameraman, filming from inside the building, could be heard reacting alongside other bystanders who tracked the unfolding drama from their windows. The fear and disbelief in the room were unmistakable as the vehicles sped past. The cash-in-transit vehicle kept moving despite being shot at, and some viewers later pointed out that armoured trucks of that kind are built to withstand gunfire.
