A man in South Africa learned the hard way that dancing on top of a taxi comes with consequences. Mbombela-based Facebook user Nondumiso Pride Masuku posted the video on 5 September 2026, and it wasted no time spreading across Mzansi.

In the clip, a man climbed on top of a minibus taxi and broke into a full dance routine, seemingly confident that he was putting on a good show. When he finally jumped down, the taxi driver was waiting for him and had a very different kind of welcome in mind. A brief but firm disciplining followed, and the whole thing was caught on camera.

When the fun meets real life

South Africa’s taxi industry has a reputation for being no-nonsense, and drivers are not known for tolerating nonsense around their vehicles. This particular dancer may not have thought that far ahead before making his move. Once he landed back on the ground, the reality of the situation caught up with him quickly.

Nondumiso's video struck a nerve with South Africans everywhere, partly because of how the man landed with such confidence, as if expecting applause rather than a reprimand.
