A video shared on X by @Thuba_K on 9 October 2026 has captured the hearts of social media users by showing two primary school pupils engaged in a competitive blackboard spelling game. In the video, the young boy and girl took turns stepping up to the chalkboard, where they erased one letter from an existing word and replaced it with another to continuously create new, correctly spelt English words.

A clever lesson in the classroom

The challenge saw them progress through various words while their classmates watched and cheered in the background. The game demonstrated a dynamic teaching strategy as the two young learners carefully contemplated their choices at the board. After the learners modified letters to form words like "talk," "walk," "wall," "tall," and "fall," the back-and-forth exercise tested their vocabulary and spelling accuracy under a playful time limit. The friendly competition ended with cheers from the classroom as the learners celebrated completing the task.
