A South African cattle farmer known on TikTok as TSEGIS EXPRESS EMPIRE posted a video on 11 August 2026 sharing devastating news. The severe cold front that swept across South Africa had claimed four of his cows.
The farmer, whose TikTok bio reads “We offer Cattle for slaughtering,” captioned the post: “Severe cold front brings snow and heavy rain to South Africa. I’ve lost at least 4 cows because of the weather.” He described going to extreme lengths to protect his herd, buying firewood to light fires inside the kraal in an attempt to keep the surviving cattle warm through the bitter nights.

South Africa was gripped by a powerful cold front in mid-August 2026, bringing snowfall to the Western Cape mountains, the Northern Cape, and parts of the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal.
