MPUMALANGA - A group of taxi drivers in Kanyamazane, Mpumalanga, turned heads this Women's Month by swapping their usual clothes for dresses, weaves and fierce nails. The men, known mostly for ferrying commuters across the province, chose to close out August with an act of generosity that left teachers and pupils genuinely moved.

The drivers visited two local schools and handed out 600 sanitary pads to pupils, using the occasion to show solidarity with women in their community. It was a far cry from the stereotype that often follows the industry.

One of the drivers explained the heart behind the gesture, saying:

"We want to show other men that they must show respect to women and to spoil them. If there are problems, we should sit down and talk."

Another driver noted that distributing sanitary pads was something they already did at the rank, but this time they wanted to do it differently.

"We normally distribute the pads at the rank but today we thought we should do it in style," he said.

Dressing up in women's clothing was a deliberate choice. The drivers wanted their message to be visible and impossible to ignore, making it clear that real strength includes tenderness and care.
