South African and Argentine passport holders are allegedly able to travel between the two countries without a visa for stays of up to 90 days, according to a post shared by @southafricanmagazinecom on Instagram on 29 August 2026.

The post, which attracted 72 comments and 44 reposts, outlined what is described as a bilateral visa exemption arrangement. Under the alleged terms, South Africans may enter Argentina for tourism or business without applying for a visa. Argentine nationals are said to enjoy the same access to South Africa under similar conditions.

According to information shared in the post, the visa-free corridor covers short stays of up to 90 days and is intended for genuine tourism and business purposes. Travellers are still required to carry a valid passport, meet standard immigration requirements at the port of entry, and hold proof of return or onward travel arrangements.

The Argentine Embassy in South Africa outlines visitor visa conditions on its official website, while Visaline lists Argentina among destinations South Africans can visit without a visa in 2025.
