EASTERN CAPE — Four men were gunned down in the G-West area of Walmer, Gqeberha, on Saturday evening, prompting the South African Police Service in the Eastern Cape to establish a dedicated investigation team.
According to spokesperson Colonel Siphokazi Mawisa, the victims, aged 20 to 30, were found in the evening. The exact sequence of events that led to the fatal shooting remains unclear as detectives work to piece together what happened.
Door-to-door enquiries yield no leads
Following the discovery, police conducted extensive door-to-door enquiries in G-West and surrounding areas to locate witnesses. Despite these efforts, no immediate leads were obtained, and no suspects have been taken into custody.

Authorities are calling on any witnesses in G-West around the time of the incident to reach out to police. Members of the public can reach Lieutenant-Colonel Sithole. The discovery of the bodies occurred in the same month that four women were found dead in Gauteng, sparking fears of a serial killer operating in Ekurhuleni.
