  • Manchester United were forced to settle for a point after a Moises Caicedo stunner restored parity after Bruno Fernandes' opener

Casemiro was far from happy with his Manchester United teammate Alejandro Garnacho during Sunday evening's Premier League game against Chelsea.

The Red Devils played their first league game since Erik ten Hag was sacked under the watchful eye of club legend Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Manchester United vs Chelsea - as it happened

It was a drab and dour game with only a few clear-cut chances as the two sides played to a one-all draw. Robert Sanchez conceded another penalty after he felled Rasmus Hojlund inside the area. Bruno Fernandes made no mistake from the spot to break the deadlock.

Moises Caicedo's goal vs Manchester United

However, the lead did not last long, as Moises Caicedo got his first of the season on the other end, rifling in a low shot from the edge of the area that gave Andre Onana no chance.

The two sides held on for a point despite some late half-chances from both sides.

Why Casemiro screamed at Alejandro Garnacho

One of the major talking points from a United perspective was Casemiro's furious meltdown at Garnacho. The Argentine failed to pick out a teammate and was dispossessed by Pedro Neto, who made a beeline for United's goal.

Casemiro tracked back, felled the Portuguese winger, and earned himself a yellow card. The former Real Madrid star then turned to Garnacho and gave him an earful, much to the delight of United fans watching.

Reactions to the post:

Here are some of the responses from netizens.

@SUBEESH_12

"Bruno is not supposed to be captain."

@guwopdiouf:

"Can’t blame him, he’s a serial winner. Trying to get a win and had to pass backwards? Awful."

@UtdMinja:

"We need more of this from players and the new manager. Too many players not taking accountability for their actions."

@pembacoot7:

"He should shout in front of his face directly. Like Peter Schmeichel did years back."

@Dev Bajwa:

"I liked seeing Casemiro rip into Garnacho and his intensity in the last two games. Still a bit headless at times, but our senior members of the dressing room need to step up way more and make the transition to Amorim as easy as possible."

Van Nistelrooy will take charge of his two last games against PAOK and Leicester City before handing the reins to Ruben Amorim.
