Jesse Kriel will lead the Springboks against Australia in the absence of Siya Kolisi due to injury in Saturday's second round of the Castle Lager Rugby Championships at DHL Stadium in Cape Town.

The Boks are seeking revenge after losing the first round of the tie at Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg last weekend. The match was dramatic as they threw away a 22-0 lead to lose 38-22.

This will be the second time Kriel fills the leadership role in Kolisi’s absence, after captaining the team against the Barbarians in the Qatar Airways Cup and also against Italy.

Kriel shows off his R2.2 million Stelvio Quadrifoglio car

Kriel is known for showing off expensive rides on his Instagram page, and he recently flaunted his Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio in a viral video on social media.

Kriel captioned the video of him driving the car with a lovely message and also confirmed it's his new car:

"Discipline, drive, and detail - the mindset never changes. On the field or behind the wheel. Proud to represent @alfaromeo_sa in my new Stelvio Quadrifoglio 🍀🏎️💨."

Earlier, the Springboks star showcased his Toyota Land Cruiser Prado in a video and pictures he shared on his official Instagram page. The car, worth R1.5 million according to Toyota’s South African website, is another luxury ride Kriel enjoys.

It features an all-wheel-drive system for improved traction, along with standard power steering, stability control, and traction control for a balanced and confident driving experience.

Inside, the vehicle comfortably seats five passengers and comes equipped with standard air conditioning, electric windows, front heated seats, and a panoramic sunroof. With five doors and a refined balance of power and comfort, it offers a complete premium driving experience.

For safety and convenience, the vehicle is equipped with six airbags, ISOFIX child seat mountings on the outer rear seats, and standard features such as an anti-lock braking system (ABS), cruise control, remote central locking, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and lane departure warning.
