Rassie Erasmus has confirmed when Handré Pollard and Franco Mostert are expected to return to the Springboks. Both players are on track for the Wallabies clash in Perth on 26 September 2026.
According to SA Rugby Magazine, Erasmus discussed the pair while announcing his team for Saturday's fourth and final Test against the All Blacks in Baltimore.
The Springboks coach indicated that Pollard and Mostert were available for selection against New Zealand. However, their next competitive appearance is expected to come against Australia later this month.
Pollard recovering from calf injury
Pollard was withdrawn shortly before the second Test against the All Blacks in Cape Town after suffering a calf injury. The fly-half has since been managed carefully as the Springboks work through a demanding Test schedule.

Erasmus told reporters on Monday that Pollard is expected to be ready for the Perth Test on Saturday, 26 September.
Mostert also closing in on return
Mostert has been sidelined with an ankle issue and has not played a competitive match since facing the Barbarians on 20 June.
The experienced forward could therefore return after more than three months without a competitive appearance.
For the Springboks, the Perth encounter could provide an important opportunity to bring both World Cup winners back into the match-day mix.
