Life & Brand Portfolio is the group behind Tiger's Milk, La Parada, Harbour House and Old Town Italy, among others. Founded in 1998, the group operates more than 30 restaurant locations across the country.
Siya Kolisi's role in the partnership
Kolisi's involvement will span food and beverage development, brand strategy and community-focused initiatives. The partnership is not an entirely new relationship; the two parties previously collaborated on the First Cup Initiative, a programme that directed proceeds from hot beverage sales at the group's restaurants towards daily breakfasts for schoolchildren in underserved communities.

Speaking about the partnership, Kolisi said the appeal lay in what the group's restaurants represent for ordinary South Africans.
"Everyone has that place where they meet their friends, where they feel comfortable and can just be themselves. I love that Life & Brand creates those places. To join this family and help build more of that is something I'm really proud of," he said.
Community development at the centre
Life & Brand Portfolio CEO Trevor Wollheim noted that Kolisi's values are consistent with the group's broader philosophy, which places people, food, culture and community at the heart of its operations.
Beyond the restaurant business, Kolisi's interest in youth empowerment and sports development is expected to shape future projects under the partnership, with social responsibility identified as a key pillar of the arrangement.
The announcement adds hospitality to Kolisi's growing portfolio of ventures outside of rugby, positioning him as one of South Africa's more commercially active sporting figures.
