Joburg Pride in all its glory – breathtaking colours and characters

The streets came alive in Johannesburg on Saturday as the Joburg Pride celebration took place at Melrose Arch.

The celebration was facilitated by Johannesburg Pride, commonly known as the 'Pride of Africa,' a multi-faceted and comprehensive platform that builds inspiration and mindfulness on issues identifying with the lesbian, gay, bisexual,transgender, queer and intersex communities.

The non-profit organization was founded in 1990.

Saturday was tied in with praising the network and illuminating Johannesburg with music and move. Some of the outfits were a sight to behold.

According to event organizers, the festival was a massive success as the number of participants doubled compared to last year.

The crowd was dazzled by musical supremo, Toya Delazy.
