DA member of parliament, Phumzile van Damme celebrated the anniversary of the day her husband, Stian Tvede Karlsen proposed to her and fondly reminisced their time together.

Van Damme says they have been together for eight years and married for two years.

Van Damme and Karlsen have two wedding anniversaries because they had both a traditional wedding and a white wedding. Van Damme previously joked that this was not excessive as she was celebrating her happy relationship and diverse culture.

She also remarked that she is married to an amazing man. “I am married to the kindest man I know, he is amazing. If we were elements I would be fire and he, water. Perfect synergy,” she enthused.
