Preschool teacher seen smacking sick child in video has been arrested

- A video went viral earlier as it showed an aggressive crèche teacher beating the children in her classroom

- South Africans expressed their outrage and demanded for action to be taken

- It has now emerged that the crèche is based in Carletonville and the relevant teacher has been arrested

South Africans were up in arms after viewing disturbing footage revealing the abuse dished out by a crèche teacher.

Briefly.co.za reported on the incident and that South Africans demanded to know the identity of the woman and that action be taken.

Following the release of the first video, two more videos were shared via social media revealing the teacher’s sick nature.

Gauteng education MEC Panyaza Lesufi earlier declared himself ready to pounce as he called on his team to trace the details of the crèche and teacher.

SowetanLIVE have now reported that the crèche has been identified as Ninnie’s Neurons based in Carletonville.

Briefly.co.za understands that the teacher in question has been arrested as well.

Warrant Officer Peter Masooa confirmed that a fellow teacher opened a case against the aggressive teacher, which led to a court appearance on 28 March.

A case of assault against a minor has been opened and the teacher has been remanded in custody while investigations are underway.
