An elderly man was blessed abundantly for being devout, as revealed by a video recently shared via social media.
The man was starving and resorted to eating pet food, but still made his way to his church service.
On his way, he was stopped by well-known Good Samaritan, BI Phakathi, and the pair struck up a short conversation.

The struggling man revealed his impoverished circumstances, but that he was excited to go to his place of worship.
Phakathi was so inspired by the man’s dedication and optimism, that he gave him several R100 notes and shared their interaction via Facebook.
The man’s surprise and joy was clear for all to see as he continuously thanked Phakathi.
Incredibly, he still checked with Phakathi if it would be acceptable for him to donate R100 to his church instead of retaining all of the money.

Briefly.co.za noted the staggering reaction via Facebook as the video went viral.

Carol Montgomery commented: “Tears of joy. Bless your beautiful heart sir. I am humbled by this always. You make south Africa beautiful like you.”
