Hanekom's nephew, appaulded, history with ANC
Former minister Derek Hanekom's nephew Bram Hanekom recently took to social media to share a moment from his family's history with Mzansi. Bram posted a photo from his birthday in 1989, where he can be seen donning an ANC shirt in a time before democracy had been heralded in.

Bram Hanekom wants citizens to know how proud he is of his uncle who just so happens to be ANC veteran Derek Hanekom.
Briefly.co.za reported that Hanekom is currently engaged in a legal battle with former president Jacob Zuma, who claimed he had been an 'enemy agent'.
Bram took a moment to share a photo dating back to 1989, before democracy dawned in South Africa, where he can be seen happily sporting an 'ANC LIVES!' shirt.

Hanekom has enjoyed a long and, until recently, relatively uneventful career with the ruling party, serving the ANC since the days of Nelson Mandela's tenure.
His nephew revealed that he still supports the party despite all the drama, saying he is still wearing the same logo today.
