Uzalo fans were devastated when their favourite soapie was put on hold as a result to the coronavirus, but thankfully it's back.

This pandemic has taken a lot away from us, so when it started taking our soapies too, peeps were hella annoyed.

Briefly.co.za learnt that the SABC 1 show would be back after a dreaded two-month production break – what a relief.

The first episode aired last night and fans couldn’t have been more excited. What a way to kick off the 'fake Friyay', the Youth Day public holiday.

Uzalo got straight back into the action, giving viewers life once again. Fans will never take their favourite show for granted again. The coronavirus forced many operations to stop, giving people a totally new perspective on things.

A sweet clip of cast members Nkanyiso Makhanya (aka Njeza), Nelisa Mchunu (aka Fikile), Wiseman Ncube (aka Sbonelo) and Noxolo Mathula (aka Lilly) dancing in excitement of the return of the show was posted to Uzalo’s official social media pages.

It is safe to say that everyone is happy to see the show back on their screens and cannot wait to see what happens next in the drama-packed soapie.
