The firm, however, fell into controversy when Thamanga was accused of being a scammer. It was alleged that the Company was not meeting the expectations of their clients. This came after one of her customers, Tumi Machaba, was planning for a birthday party. Tumi paid R100,000, and they were supposed to meet on 23rd March, but Thamanga bailed out claiming that she could not meet since she had come into contact with a person with Covid-19.

As the pandemic worsened, Tumi decided to cancel the party and was informed that the cancellation fee was 75%. This meant that they were refunded R25,000 only of the R100,000 paid. Feeling ripped, Tumi made a complaint on her Twitter account, which sparked a lot of attention. The Company also responded by denying these allegations and saying that the matter would be handled legally.
