Losing a loved one, especially your partner, is an immensely difficult journey regardless of who you are.
DJ Lamiez Holworthy recently shared that her mom has managed to start living life again after her father passed away:
"So my mom cut her hair. And this is a pretty big deal, a year and a few months after my dad's passing and my mom has finally started living again. I can't tell you how happy this makes me."
The South African icon shared that her mom even came to watch a few of her shows, saying that:
"Last night was also the first time she watched me do live amp and went to my gigs."
Peeps couldn't be happier to hear that mom is healing after the loss of her husband, showering her with love and praise in response to the post.
Even fellow icon Karabo Mokgoko joined in the celebration, surprised that they aren't actually sisters:
"She looks like your sister! Literally! Ma’am looks 20 years younger!"
Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that Lamiez Holworthy took to social media to share one of the strongest examples of "speaking it into existence" that 2020 has seen.
The DJ went onto Twitter to post a series of pictures of her newly sponsored 7-seater minibus.
The vehicle was wrapped but in some photos, the picture of Lamiez pasted to the side can be seen.
Lamiez also said in her caption that she had willed the car into existence after she had previously tweeted about wanting a sponsored minibus just like the one she eventually got.
Lamiez wrote as her caption of the photos: "A few weeks ago,I randomly tweeted about SWL’ing a Sponsored 7 seater bus and today I went to fetch my new baby from @mccarthy_mastercars_gezina. To my God and my ancestors? Thank you!!! So excited for all that is yet to come."
