Former South African soccer star Benni McCarthy has been unveiled as AmaZulu FC's new head coach. The 43-year-old has not been affiliated with any club for just over a year after he left Cape Town City.
AmaZulu's official Twitter account announced McCarthy's new position in a very excited manner. In the announcement tweet, the Durban club stated that McCarthy is "ready to drive the boys to Top 4 this season and beyond."
Fans seemed quite impressed with their guesses, as many already assumed that McCarthy would take over from Ayanda Dlamini who just recently stepped down.

"I don't like the pressure that the chairman is putting on the coaches. Top 4 in their first season with half of the squad being new signings, I think it's a big ask. A top 8 maybe? Benni is a great coach for sure but he will need more time."

"Aim for the moon, fall on the stars! I love the chairman's vision. You can't buy a team and hope to finish 8th!"

"Top 4 finish?... Certainly not... Will Benni turn things around? Most definitely... Did we miss Benni in our league? Without a doubt... IsMchunu adopting Mpengesism? For sure!"
