Ailing music mogul Dr Dre's home is reported to have been the scene of a burglary attempt after some men decided to take the opportunity of him being hospitalised.
According to TMZ, four men were spotted at Dre's Pacific Palisades home in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday, January 6.
The men were spotted by security as they tried to break into the main structure and confronted them but they fled.
Police were immediately called to the scene, chased the four would-be burglars and caught and arrested them.
According to Billboard, the four were booked on attempted burglary charges by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). Other reports indicate that infrared camera's on the producer's estate spotted the intruders hoping the fence and the security team alerted the police.
The men jumped into an SUV, leading to a chase through the neighbourhood, which ended on Sunset Boulevard. Nothing was however stolen during the incident.
Dre's ailment
This comes after the celebrated and wealthy rap icon was hospitalised and is now recovering after suffering a brain aneurysm. The US star took to social media on Wednesday, 6 January and reassured his fans that he's doing great.
Dre thanked all his supporters from across the globe for showing him love while he is getting medical attention in the hospital.
A brain aneurysm is a weakness in a blood vessel in the brain that balloons and fills with blood. The aneurysm can leak or rupture, causing life-threatening bleeding.
