A young woman recently shared a touching story about all the things she managed to achieve despite facing many challenges. Taking to ImStaying, ZaneNkululeko Hlaba also shared how she experienced flying in an airplane for the first time - something she had always wanted to do.
"Let me tell you a short story about Grace. When I was a toddler, every time I saw a bird, I would cry and say I want to fly with it, there was no calming me down unless an adult would pick me up to the sky, my mother told me a tale of how I got the Name “Nyoni”
"Born and Bread in Molweni, a small township in the outer west of Durban, by a mother who was a domestic worker and a father who was a self-taught electrician, I completed my matric at Kwadinabakubo combined school in 2007.
"Completing my grade 12 marked the first female in the family to complete matric, Acceptance and entrance to the Food Science & Nutrition Program in 2011 marked the first family female to go to university, my graduation marked the first graduation in the family name (Hlaba).
"Last year I was able to reach the dream I had as a toddler and flew high in the sky, again marking the first individual in the family to leave the continent and work in Europe as a Quality Manager," she wrote proudly.
Impressed Stayers had this to say:
