The Lockdown House Party has returned for its third season when it left after its second season many thought they would never see it again, a bittersweet feeling.

Jazzidisciple’s Mr JazziQ performed a fire set on the shows return debut impressing his fans by playing his whole set with headphones, relying on his skill and knowledge.

The return of the show has come with stricter Covid-19 restrictions as South Africa faces a second Covid-19 wave.

The show was a breakout success in 2020 and was greeted like an old friend last Friday. Shimza has managed to get the balance just right between the commercial side of the show and the important job of keeping people positive during these uncertain times.

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that Shimza has taken to the timeline and advised his followers that the only way to stay afloat during the pandemic is to be committed to the grind with a strong work ethic.

The DJ offered advice and said that he felt keeping productivity levels at the maximum would be the only option for those trying to hustle.

Shimza posted a tweet where he wrote down his thoughts and shared them with his followers.

In other news, real friends show support to one another in the good times and the bad. DJ Shimza decided to show Somizi Mhlongo-Motaung some love by purchasing 100 copies of his cookbook.

Somizi was ecstatic at the fact that Shimza was showing him such an immense amount of support. He took to Instagram to share with his followers:

"Friends support one another. DJ Shimza bought 100 books and gave me an opportunity to host at his establishment in Thembisa," said Somizi.
