Parler app used by Trump supporters removed by Amazon Apple and Google

- Parler has been booted out by tech giants Amazon, Apple and Google

- The controversial app was removed from the internet space over "violence-inciting comments"

- Parler, a microblogging and social networking app with over 10 million users, is being used by the conservative and supporters of Donald Trump

Parler, an alternative social media platform favoured by conservatives and pro-Trump supporters, have been booted out of the Google Play Store, Apple Play Store and other downloading sites following mounting criticism.

The site of the app is also no longer available in what suggested that it has been kicked off the internet amid pressure from the public and Amazon employees.

According to CNN, Google, Amazon and Apple removed the app from the platform on Sunday, January 10, following a whirlpool of the controversy generated by the alternative app.

Amazon said it has received and monitored "posts that clearly encourage and incite violence" in what is fuelling the rising tension in the US.

The platform said though Parler "provides technology and services to customers across the political spectrum", it cannot overlook comments that put the public at risk.

"We've seen a steady increase in this violent content on your website, all of which violates our terms. It's clear that Parler does not have an effective process to comply with the AWS terms of service.
"We continue to respect Parler's right to determine for itself what content it will allow on its site. However, we cannot provide services to a customer that is unable to effectively identify and remove content that encourages or incites violence against others."

Meanwhile Briefly.co.za reports that, President Trump claimed that there is a conspiracy to keep him and his supporters silent in the face of their unproven allegations of voter fraud in the 2020 US election.

Trump spoke in a series of tweets via the official government Twitter handle @POTUS shortly after his personal account @realDonaldTrump was permanently suspended on Friday, January 8.

Trump's tweets were taken down from @POTUS by Twitter shortly after he shared them but Techcrunch presented screenshots of the outgoing American leader's social media storm.
