- SA Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula and Ex-DA leader Mmusi Maimane have once again butted heads on Twitter
- This comes after Maimane took a jab at the ANC and their failure to deliver jobs as they promised many years ago
- Soon Twitter users joined in on the squabble, each sharing their respective views on the mini fight
Mmusi Maimane and Fikile Mbalula seem to really be getting on each other's nerves lately and both are using Twitter to go at one another's throats. Most recently, Mbalula shared another clever retort with Maimane after Maimane tweeted:
“We are going to create jobs for the youth.” An #ANCProverb,'wrote Maimane, to which Mbalula responded:
"What did you say when you were very energetic leader of the DA?"
Soon many locals were in the comment section sharing their thoughts on the exchange. While many people bashed Mbalula and the ANC, others joked about a blunder Maimane made during one of his speeches.
Read a few of their comments below:
"It's typical behavior of politicians; they lie for personal gains. They deceive people; I'm sure you can relate. Nothing new here."
"We have the apartheid government to blame #ANCProverb"
"If that ever happens Gautrain will run from Limpopo to eastern cape and Cope will win the election."
"We still hope for those jobs, the unemployment rate is high, SME's are not getting fundings. Ku rough"
"the violence from @MmusiMaimane direct to @MbalulaFikile is too many causalities I repeat a lot #justsaying"
Briefly.co.za previously reported that Twitter is becoming increasingly entertaining and ever so serious. While we used to be entertained by selfies and gym pics, we now get the pleasure of watching our very own politicians go head-to-head.
The latest is Mmusi Maimane and Minister Fikile Mbalula. The two recently had a showdown on Twitter after Maimane announce OSA's next step in South Africa's political sphere. It all started when one tweep asked Maimane who was funding OSA. Soon Mbaks chipped in and said that he too would like to know, to which Maimane responded:
"Ask that question to @CyrilRamaphosa and other members of your own party. The ANC is funded through the proceeding of tenderprenuers and looted funds. People are still waiting for you to respond to my last tweet. Is this an inter-party tag team?"
