Halala: South Africans Salute Stunning Gogos Turning 100, 98 and 96

It's celebrations all around as three stunning South African gogos reach 100, 98 and 96 years old. In separate posts shared to the #ImStaying group on Facebook, Millicent Phokoane, Nkami Penyana and Merlize Kock are celebrating their grandmothers' and mothers' birthdays.

Millicent's gogo turned 100, Nkami's mother turned 98 and Merlize's gogo turned 96. Each grandmother looks absolutely stunning in their own way and none of them look as though they are anywhere near the ages they've turned.

"This is my Grandma and she will be turning a whopping 100 years this year. She's been through it all and been there for my family and by the grace of God, she's still standing. She's a woman of power, imbokodo, the greatest Grandma. I just want to appreciate her and thank God for keeping her for us till this far..."

In similar news, Briefly.co.za previously reported on an independent gogo who turned 95. Tshepang Bridgette Minyuku said her gogo looks young and strong and walks unassisted. She does everything herself, cooks, cleans and washes her own clothes.
