Weekly Wrap: Connie's Daughter, Mr Smeg and Skeem Saam Dominate Headlines

This week has been a mixed bag, Connie Ferguson's daughter inspired people with her achievement, passing matric. Mr Smeg offered Somizi's husband Mohale a shoulder to cry on and Skeem Saam viewers were left wagging their tongues.

1. Golden Child: Connie Ferguson's Daughter, Alicia Passes Matric

Connie Ferguson's youngest daughter Alicia has just passed matric. Taking to Instagram, Connie shared a lengthy post saying how proud she is of her daughter for making the achievement. Baby girl's future looks bright.

Connie shared a video of Ali dancing after she got her matric results. The actress and producer is super excited about what the future holds for her daughter. She captioned her post:

2. Mr Smeg Offers Somizi's Mohale a Shoulder to Cry On, Mzansi Can't Deal

Michael Bucwa aka Mr Smeg is up to something - we just don't know what. The young Smeg kettle-lover has been offering many heads a shoulder to lean on as of late and Mzansi just cannot deal.

The latest person to be offered a shoulder to cry on is none other than Somizi's very own Mohale. After the tv personality and husband of Somizi shared a post about being busy on set, Mr Smeg quickly offered to help Mohale through whatever he is going through.

3. Mzansi Reacts to Skeem Saam as Fans React to Alfios Stepping Up

Twitter has been absolutely buzzing with the hashtag #SkeemSaam trending. Fans reacted to the latest episode and a couple of characters have tongues wagging.

A lot of fans are rooting for Alfios and want him to get the tender and take charge of the company.

While others rate Putla Sehlapelo's acting as top tier alongside Elizabeth Serunye's skills. Fans are loving the show right now.

4. Master KG Flexes “Lit” Bank Balance, Mzansi Unimpressed

Master KG did not get the response he expected when he took to social media to flaunt his riches recently. The music producer shared a picture of himself staring at his phone screen and captioned it:

5. Nandos' Flaming Hot Clapback Leaves Mzansi in a Big Friday Mood

South African Nando's Twitter page is always so piping hot and full of humorous clapbacks that it's hard to keep up. Their latest clapback came swiftly after a young lady with the Twitter handle @UmiSays_ claimed she wasn't a fan of their food, except for one flavour.

"I’m not a Nando’s fan but that Mozam Paprika," she wrote.

Not long thereafter, the Nando's marketing team was on it and conjuring up the perfect response that left locals not only laughing out loud but promising that they will be visiting the restaurant shortly.
