In the wake of a hard-fought win over old rivals, Orlando Pirates on Sunday afternoon, Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt has shared a crucial update on striker Khama Billiat's future, that he is still part of his plans at Naturena.

The Amakhosi mentor explains the Zimbabwean international is currently nursing a broken leg but he is still a key figure of his team despite media reports suggesting otherwise.

Hunt led his troops to a 1-0 win over the Buccaneers at FNB Stadium, thus bagging his first Soweto derby victory via a goal netted by striker Samir Nurkovic.

Instead, the former SuperSport United boss said the skillful attacker is recovering from a broken leg. Hunt told the media:

"He's all in the plans. It's only people like yourself [media] who say he's not in the plans, so I don't know where the story comes from.
"So, ja, he's in the plans and we need to get him fit. He had a broken leg, he's jogging and running now, so hopefully, in the next two weeks we can at least get him a little bit of game time – 20 minutes here and there in some friendlies or something."

Billiat has been a notable absentee for Chiefs as he has featured in 16 games across all competitions with five assists and one goal so far.
