Garett Talcott, a kindergarten teacher from the US, has become an overnight sensation after he was seen taking his pupils on a field trip virtually.
He only needed two things, his backpack and laptop.
With that, Garett left for the zoo and made sure all his learners attended the lesson.
Then, the 31-year-old walked around the Woodland Park Zoo as he pointed at a couple of animals and gave few details about them.
He would spell out the names of different animals and the pupils repeated after him in unison.
The teacher referred to the trip as the "shortest field trip ever." His 28 attendees wowed and “aahed” as some of them chuckled in amazement.
The lesson focussed mainly on penguins but Garett was kind enough to give an extensive view into the lives and behaviours of other wild animals. He recorded the whole thing and shared it on TikTok.
In less than a day, the clip garnered nearly a million views and was shared widely on other social media platforms.
The 31-year-old was hailed as teacher of the year and people from across the world praised him for bending over backwards to ensure his learners had a wholesome learning experience.
