'American Idols': Funke Lagoke Speaks on Collapsing on Stage Due to Feedback

The worst fear of any performing act is to have a stage accident but that was what happened to US-based Nigerian singer and American Idols contestant, Funke Lagoke.

However, a series of posts shared on her page after the incident has shown that Lagoke is not letting anything get in her way of reaching the top.

A video of the singer that has gone viral in the online community captured the moment she collapsed on stage just when the judges were about to give feedback for her performance.

The show was brought to a brief pause as everyone scampered to the stage to ensure that the singer was fine.

Following the incident, Lagoke returned to her official page on Instagram with a series of photos accompanied with powerful captions.

“WE ARE ALL SO MUCH MORE THAN OUR FALL,” Lagoke wrote in the caption of one of the photo posts shared on her page.

Interestingly, what could have been a moment of shame for the American Idol contestant transformed into her moment of glory as thousands of Nigerians, Africans around the world celebrated the singer for her resilience.
