Simphiwe Dana has threatened to take legal action against a tweep who leaked confidential information and her address on social media on Monday, 26 April.
The tweep @MadiBoity, real name Boitumelo Madiba, took to Twitter to react to Simphiwe's earlier tweet about President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Boitumelo alleged that the singer is corrupt and shared screenshots of documents with her home address. The tweep who seemingly took Ramaphosa's side, captioned his post:
"Simphiwe Dana registered an NPO on the 29th of November 2019 and got the grant approved on the 18th of December for a show that was on the 6th of December. So the grant was approved 2 weeks after the show, and so the conditions of the grant could never have been met. Fraud???"
He also slammed the songstress for calling Ramaphosa the worst president Mzansi has ever had. Boitumelo wrote:
"A worst artist calls our President the worst President. Indeed! We see the world as we are."
Simphiwe took to the micro-blogging app to react to Boitumelo's tweets. She accused the tweep of trying to defame her:
"Boitumelo Madiba I’m coming for you, my guy. You will have to explain how you got confidential information and, further put it out in a bid to defame my name. Plus put my family at risk by publishing my address. @MadiBoity."
Boitumelo further shared that those who attack Ramaphosa are triggered by law enforcement agencies that are "sniffing around them". Other tweeps share their thoughts on Simphiwe's threats.

"How does it happen that you can register an NPO and two weeks later you have received a funding? Why are the @HAWKS84464400 silent on your issue girlfriend? Who did you bribe?"
@Burn__Slow wrote:
"Go ahead and sue him for publishing your address...which is available to the public on the CIPC website as your registered business address. While your lawyers draw up the paperwork, care to comment on the allegations of fraud made against you?"
@RoyalBleuu commented:
"The Guy backed up the info with proof, looks legit, maybe you need to tell us if he is wrong or right then go with your legal process."
@Malesel11893042 added:
"Ramaphosa and Pravin are untouchable. Once you criticize them, they will make sure you don't have peaceful nights. Be prepared they are coming for you."
