A very tiny tot has social media abuzz after his apparent run-in with the law. One-year-old Ziyad Hanif had been cruising his bright red toy Jeep down a Durban beach when the cute trouble-maker was stopped by a nearby police officer.

His mother, Lamees Hanif, shared the snaps of the adorable moment on her Facebook page and the post has since gone viral.

The friendly cop had been on duty in the area and teasingly stopped the little boy, asking for his licence and registration.

According to a previous article by IOL, his mother hilariously shared that Ziyad tried to run away before the officer could give him his ticket. She writes:

"Two weeks ago we decided to take him to North Beach for a spin in his new ride. And while we were there, we noticed a policeman checking for unlicensed vehicles or vehicles with expired discs. My boy was stopped by the policeman and asked for his licence and registration.
“My son had this cute look on his face and actually stood up to try to run away. I was able to snap a quick pic before he tried to get away after realising he was in big trouble," she added.
