South Africa's beloved comedian Mpho "Popps" Modikoane has been confirmed as the host of this year's Content Creator Awards, set to take place on Saturday, 17 October 2026 at The Galleria in Sandton.
The annual awards, which were first launched in 2022, return for another highly anticipated edition featuring 20 categories that shine a spotlight on the country's most compelling digital voices.

Why Popps Is the Right Choice for the Night
Manuela Dias de Deus, Founder of the Content Creator Awards and Founder of One-eyed Jack, explained why Popps stood out as the natural choice to lead the evening.
"We wanted a host who could bring real energy and personality to the awards," she said, adding that his charisma and long-running career in entertainment made him the perfect fit to bring the event to life.
With Samsung among the backers and 20 competitive categories on the table, the 2026 ceremony looks set to be the most ambitious edition of the awards to date.
