Gareth Cliff has set social media alight after posting a blunt reaction to a video showing Juhu Beach in Mumbai completely overwhelmed by debris and plastic waste, calling India "a disgusting place."
The clip, originally shared by verified account @RadioGenoa on 28 August 2026, shows outdoor handheld footage filmed along the Mumbai coastal promenade. In it, a resident captures athletes running along the beach while waves wash ashore across what the videographer describes as "miles and miles" of garbage-covered sand.
"She is still very determined to run in spite of very, very adverse conditions," the voice behind the camera says, visibly concerned.
Cliff, who previously fumed about the state of Pretoria, retweeted the video on Saturday, 29 August 2026, with a single line:
