What Is Future Tense About?

Directed by Jenna Cato Bass of Good Harbour Pictures, Future Tense is a South African-Australian science fiction drama. The film is described as being in the tradition of acclaimed horror titles The Babadook, Talk to Me and Bring Her Back. Maleka plays a character named Lwando, appearing alongside Kristen Raath as Tara and Qondiswa James.

The film had its world premiere at TIFF as part of the festival's Centrepiece programme, one of the festival's most prominent spotlight selections for films generating significant industry and audience buzz.
