Khosi Twala has opened up about a vulnerable moment that followed one of the biggest wins of her life, admitting she was completely lost after becoming a millionaire overnight.
Speaking at an event, the former Big Brother Titans champion recalled the overwhelming anxiety that came with having R2 million land in her bank account. Twala, real name Makhosazane Twala, took home the prize after winning the first season of the show in 2023, but the reality of managing that kind of money left her paralysed.

"You'll never believe what I did: I called DJ Sbu," she revealed, drawing what one can imagine was a surprised reaction from the crowd.
The Khoffee with Khosi star explained that she sent him a direct message, asking for a conversation and mentorship given the position she found herself in. What surprised her most was his response.
"I DM'd him, and I told him that I would like to have a chat with him because I'm in this position, and I'm really seeking help and mentorship," she said, adding that she "couldn't believe" he actually agreed to meet her.

The advice that changed everything
The meeting with the TS Records co-founder proved to be a turning point. Twala said DJ Sbu sat with her and shared practical wisdom on how to sustain and grow her wealth rather than watch it disappear.
"I went to meet him, and he gave me some great advice."
The advice clearly stuck. Twala cheekily acknowledged that people often notice she does not seem to have burned through her winnings the way others in similar positions have.
"People wonder why the money isn't running out; it's because of people like him who were able to feed me such great knowledge."
Footage from the event was shared by DJ Sbu himself on his TikTok page. The serial entrepreneur is well known across Mzansi for championing financial literacy, mentoring young talent, and encouraging long-term wealth creation through his various business ventures.
