Broadcaster Sizwe Dhlomo sent Mzansi into a frenzy on Tuesday, 6 October 2026, after sharing a post showing what it cost to fill up one of his cars — a whopping R2 600 for a single tank.
The media personality posted a photo of his car's dashboard on X, with the display showing a range of 789 km, a fuel economy reading of 7.0 L/100km, and the clock ticking at 11:41. The needle, sitting just above empty, told the full story. Dhlomo, who owns several cars, wrote that he plans to fill up again in about three weeks, adding a touch of curiosity about what the price will be by then.
