South African hip-hop icons Cassper Nyovest and Nasty C have united to deliver a fresh summer anthem titled Lil Mama, with its official music video launched on 21 August 2026. The track marks a stylistic shift for both artists, embracing a breezy R&B influence that celebrates elegance and confidence, steering away from their usual aggressive sounds while garnering an overwhelmingly positive reception.
Lil Mama is, at its core, a feel-good tribute to a confident and stylish woman who keeps things drama-free, a classic summer jam for the ladies.
Beyond his performance on the track, Cassper also took creative control of the visual, directing the music video through his Billiato Production company. The video directly draws its aesthetic from iconic 1970s television and music video setups, most notably mimicking the look of Migos and Drake's 2018 music video for Walk It Talk It, and seeing both Cassper and Nasty C dressed in vintage suits.

Both music videos serve as modern hip hop homages to the legendary Soul Train television show. The arched, glowing "Billiato" sign directly mirrors the arched "Culture" and "Soul Train" style backdrops used in the Migos video layout. The staging features lines of stylishly dressed dancers moving down the centre and sides of the frame to capture a distinct 1970s disco vibe.
