Multi-award-winning musician Rouge The Rapper recently opened up about portraying the role of Sanka's sister, Darlene, on eTV's Scandal!

The rapper and actress confirmed her latest role on the eTV cancelled soapie on her social media platforms on Wednesday, 1 April 2026.

The musician revealed in an interview with Sowetan on Thursday, 2 April 2026, that her character is in town to avenge her brother, Sanka's (played by Stevel Marc) death.

Sanka was killed by Mdala (played by James Sithole), a few months ago, for having an affair with his wife, Tlhogi (played by Makoma Mohale).

"She has come back to essentially try to get vengeance for how her family had been wronged. That is literally Darlene's only mission," says the actress.

The rapper adds that stepping into the character wasn't unfamiliar to her, as she studied drama at the University of Pretoria and got her degree.

Rouge also reveals that she hopes the Scandal! character opens more doors for her as she wants to be featured in more films and TV roles.

The actress adds that her first day on set was nerve-wracking, as most actors have been acting together for years and know each other.

"But when I got there, everyone was welcoming, from producers to makeup to the cast," says the musician.

The rapper-turned-actress confirmed on her X account on Thursday, 2 April 2026, that she's really joined the show.

"Oh, this wasn't an April Fool's. See ya'll tonight at 8 PM, wrote Rouge on X.
