A Kenyan man left viewers amazed when he shared a video that shows just how brave some people can be when faced with danger.
Facebook user @jeff.kirui3, a journalist who lives in Nairobi, posted the incredible clip on the 14 of August with the caption:
"Like an airport marshal waving down a jumbo jet — only this 'plane' had tusks."
The video shows a man walking peacefully along a riverbank in what appears to be a nature park. Everything seems normal until he turns around and spots a massive elephant charging straight towards him. Instead of running away like most people would do, the man stops exactly where he is and stands firm.

The brave man raises both his hands high in the air and starts shouting at the approaching elephant. His bold move works as the elephant stops in its tracks, looking confused about what to do next. After a moment of hesitation, the elephant tries charging again, but the man keeps his hands up and continues shouting.
The second attempt also fails as the elephant stops once more. This time, the massive animal seems to understand that the man might be a threat. The elephant turns around and runs away, leaving the man completely unharmed. What happens next is even more amazing as the man casually continues walking along his way.

Why elephants attack people
According to experts at Tsavo Trust, elephants don't usually attack humans unless they feel threatened or are protecting something important to them.
These gentle giants are quite confident because of their size, which means they don't often feel the need to be violent. However, they can become dangerous when they're protecting their babies, during mating season or when they feel their territory is being invaded.
