A fast food promotion sent Ghana into a frenzy. KFC Ghana's GH¢15 anniversary deal on 15 August 2026 triggered scenes of chaos outside branches across the country, with a video shared by X user @PSAFLIVE of shoving crowds and a smashed glass door spreading rapidly on social media.

The offer, which ran from 9 AM to 5 PM, gave customers one piece of chicken, two tenders and small chips for just GH¢15, the equivalent of roughly R22. The price point was enough to draw thousands of people out before sunrise. At several locations, queues formed as early as 3 AM, hours before doors even opened.
