Malema claps back on X
Rather than ignore the circulating clip, Malema addressed it directly on X. In a post timestamped at 8:35 PM on 22 August 2026, the EFF president wrote:

"That's Slageng patron, be warned. 🤣" — a lighthearted remark that appeared to identify the location and dismiss the implied controversy with humour.
The post attracted a further 95,900 views and over 3,000 likes, with 587 retweets recorded at the time of publication.
Online Reactions Split Over the Clip
Responses in the comments section on the X page varied widely. One user, @KingHustler, claimed to have been present at the venue and offered context:
"I was there, Moshabi... that's Moruti Majomane's girlfriend… she's a content creator, and Majomane was there as well."
Some users directed their criticism at the account that posted the video rather than at Malema.
@NeoWaBadimo wrote:
"This Chris Excel must be exposed. This account is a danger to the public. The location of that person must be exposed."
Another user, @LesleyMoremi, addressed the EFF leader directly, writing:
"CIC Let's take this thing to court."
