A home cook who goes by @crazykoreancooking took on one of the most ambitious kitchen challenges imaginable: preparing an entirely South African meal for her Korean parents who had never tasted Mzansi food before.
The video, posted on 1 August 2026, shows her working through an impressive spread from scratch. On the menu was boerewors with chakalaka, bobotie with geelrys, bunny chow with carrot sambal and malva pudding with custard. The footage captures her grating meat, blending spices including Durban masala and garam masala, sautéing peppers, grilling sausage, pouring batter and baking bread, all in a home kitchen.
