"Good for Next Few Months”: SA Woman Living in China Packs R10k Worth of Mzansi Food To Take Back

Living abroad does not mean giving up your favourite snacks, and Lynn Dennison proved exactly that. The South African woman, who is based in China, packed more than 100kg of local food and medicine to send back for her, her sibling and her family, spending over R10,000 before even accounting for extra baggage fees.
The haul, photographed in an overflowing suitcase, included Fritos, Doritos, Flyers, Super Scoops and a range of other South African pantry staples. Lynn shared the image on Facebook alongside a caption that summed up the mood perfectly: nobody was going to survive on seaweed-flavoured crisps when Mzansi had so much better to offer.
She added that the food and medicine would last the family for at least a few months, and that packing for two people living in China meant there was no room for compromise on quantity.
"Atleast we will be good for the next few months."
