A hidden camera prank at a South African Golf Day event had the internet in stitches after a driver was stopped by a fake security guard demanding a document that did not exist.

The clip, posted on 17 August 2026 by JD Pranks, showed a man arriving at a golf estate with passengers in his vehicle. Just after he passed the main security checkpoint, a prankster posing as a guard blocked his way and demanded a permit sticker for the car. The driver, who had visited the venue before and knew nothing about such a requirement, grew increasingly frustrated.

PSIRA prank sparks fiery exchange

Things quickly escalated when the fake guard began asking the driver to produce a registration sticker. The driver, clearly baffled, turned the tables and demanded the guard show his own PSIRA proof, arguing that without it, he had no authority to stop anyone.

The argument grew louder. The driver dropped names and identified himself as Andre Fossler. The prankster was unmoved, accusing him of name-dropping and insisting no one enters without the correct paperwork. At one point, the guard even questioned whether the driver could actually play golf, suggesting people with that kind of attitude rarely had a handicap.

The confrontation only ended when another man walked out from the estate and recognised the prankster as the man behind JD Pranks. The moment the driver realised he had been had, the rage melted into laughter.
